How to prepare for a brazilian wax?

i am going to have a brazilian wax for the first time in a couple of days...any suggestions on how to prepare myself? I know there is lots of pain involved but any advice would be great....thanks :)

Oh, and serious answers only pls ;)How to prepare for a brazilian wax?
Before Treatment

1. 3-4 weeks of hair growth is ideal for waxing. All hair should be a minimum on 录 of an inch long.

2. Prior to waxing trim all hair to a 录 of an inch but no shorter. This will really help minimize discomfort.

3. If you prefer take an Advil 20 minutes before waxing - it will help with the discomfort.

4. Consult the esthetician prior to the treatment if you are taking Retin A or Accutane.

5. Ideally, the client will have little or no caffeine in their system. Caffeine heightens sensitivity.

6. Skin tends to be more sensitive 2-3 days prior to your monthly cycle.

7. If you are really nervous and/or sensitive you can purchase EMLA cream with a prescription from your doctor which numbs the area and will greatly minimize the pain. This must be applied approximately 1 hour prior waxing.

8. Most importantly, RELAX! It will be a lot less painful than you think and you will be loving the results!

Homecare

1. Exfoliate area starting 1 week after waxing

2. Use tend skin regularly to prevent ingrowns

3. Avoid sun for 1 week

4. Avoid hot baths or showers for 1 day

5. Wear loose fitting pants and undergarments for the first few days after.

6. Apply a tea tree lotion or tend skin to the area frequently.

7. Refrain from intimate activity for the first 24 hours.

Good luck and take careHow to prepare for a brazilian wax?
One advice that was really helpful for me was to take ibuprofen every 6 hours, starting 24 hours before your appointment. This will kind of numb your pain a little.

Also make sure the hair is not too short or too long.

Don't be embarrassed to scream or bite on a piece of cloth or hold on tight to something - They are used to dealing with people under pain, so do anything that will make you feel better as long as it doesn't interfere with the process.

Make sure you r going to a good place - Look at reviews, see if the type of wax they use is safe, if they have enough experience in waxing, etc.. You don't want to take chances with a brazilian wax.

Good Luck!!
i am a beaty therapist and i do xxx waxing everyday...

1st- Trim your hair a bit not too short tho about half an inch

2nd exfoliate

3rd wear old undies on the day

4th try and relax and remain calm

5th make sure they use HOT A\and HARD wax when performing the wax

6th....Off u go

7th let your skin breathe afterwards-wear loose undies

8th moisturise and let rest

9th exfoliate 2-3 times a week

10th make sure to get your waxing done every 4-6 weeks
Well firstly let the hair grow for atleast a week, more if you can!

Make sure you wear comfy clothes, because afterward it will be better to have comfy ones that dont chafe.

And have a shower before you go, to save yourself embaressment and out of respect for the waxer.

And just make sure you ask a lot of questions. If they offer you some products to help with aftercare, get one of the creams that help with ingrown hairs, they are truly worth it.
i don't consider it painful, perhaps you could call it a little bit uncomfortable, or that it stings. i get it done every 6 weeks. it's a bit scary at first, but so nice and clean, i love it. if u r scared of pain, why not call the salon where u r having it done and ask their advice? just relax and don't worry, u will prolly be really glad u did it! PS my man LOVES it. ;)
take some kind of medication to numbing the area....

i have some friends that as brave as you, and all they do is not think about it, walk straight into the salon, stick a sock in their mouths and get it over with
wow brazilian wax?? yikes!! the only advice i can give you is to stay calm and when ur getting the wax done start thinking about things or concentrate n somethng in the room, it makes it go faster if ur nervous lol
Exfoliate the day before you go and take an aspirin or paracetamol about an hour before your wax.

Make sure the therapist pulls your skin taught when she is waxing or it will hurt more.
Well you could just shave or use Veet for hair removal, rather than going through the torture of waxing.

STUFF that!
wash up welll

lol jkin ull be in pain have some panadol
