Okay, i've been getting brazilians for a while now. First off, a traditional brazilian means everything off except for a small ';landing strip'; on top of your pubic bone. my boyfriend thinks this is really sexy. However, if you want this removed, make sure you tell the waxer you want everything off. I will warn you though that this area is the most painful to get hair removed. Also, a good waxer also does your buttcrack hair. this may cost extra, but a real brazilian wax gets the buttocks hair.

Yes, the first time is painful, but if you go monthly, it will become less painful. Waxes usually last over 2 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. My hair grows fast but becuase I've been getting waxes for a while, my hair growth has slowed down. Yes, it is worth the pain. It is quite painful but its only for a few minutes. Take 2 advils an hour before you go, and try to avoid going during the 2 weeks before you get your period bec this is when you are the most sensitive. The average price can range from $50 to $100, depending on where you go and what the wax includes. I go to a good salon and the price of a brazilian is $80. YOU MUST TIP THE WAXER AT LEAST $15!!! This is waxing etiquette. I tip my waxer $20-$25.

Also, waxing does cause big ingrown hairs occasionally. These can be prevented by using TendSkin (you can find it online) and putting baby powder on your waxing region. use a light exfoliating scrub as well. if you do get bad ingrown hairs (I have) they can sometimes turn into cysts. they feel like little hard masses under your skin. they arent gross looking but htey are a little painful. you can go to a dermatologist to get crotizone shots for this if you do get an ingrown hair that has progressed to a cyst. but overall, yes, gte the brazilian, and fight through the pain! dont be a baby... its totally worth it. hair free for nearly 2 weeks, and when the hair grows in, its not gross at all. i go waxing like almost every 2 months even becuase it doesnt start looking unkept until then.
